The goal of this project was to rebrand a current brand identity with an emphasis on social change. I chose to rebrand TOMS, and call it ALPA after the iconic alpargata shoe inspired by Argentina. TOMS pioneered the concept of selling product with the intention of giving back to a social cause but has lost its demand over the years. My rebrand works to promote a bold, fun, and stylish brand identity with the intention of staying modern and competitive with other shoe brands. In addition, I chose to implement a brand activism campaign in which 1/3 profits made from an exclusive line of alpargatas goes directly to HelpArgentina in order to support communities outside the U.S. and express appreciation for the culture that inspired the company's most well-known shoe style.
